Fare were the first company in the umbrella industry to tackle the issue of 'a green product' back in 2011 through the development of the Ökobrella. Made with an OEKO-TEX® certified polyester pongeee cover made from recycled plastics, a sustainable bamboo handle and wrapped in a compostable film with recycled paper hang tag and jute cord it is the world's first truly sustainable umbrella!

Fare continue to look for ways to integrate sustainability into all areas of their business which has led to the development of a revolutionary new waterSAVE® cover material for their umbrellas reducing both consumption of energy and valuable raw materials during the dyeing process, as well as reducing the environmental impact from harmful waste.

For each single litre of water saved from their waterSAVE® umbrellas, FARE donates six cents to the charitable organisation “Viva con Agua” who tackle access to clean drinking water and sanitation all over the world.
